Well, since I dropped back to 2 gigs of ram my problem is gone.

Tonight I'll swap out the pair running now with the pair of sticks I pulled 4 or 5 days ago. I figure if it happens then it's the ram.

yeah i tried on two different systems, my newer system it came in better but i think it had to do with the card not having a built in mpeg encoder

I'm having similar problems with my tuner card. I have a Geniatech x8000A. Running the ArcSoft software that came with it, looks good. But the picture looks "offset" in WMC. I can't read text on the screen and the picture looks "fuzzy". I've downloaded the latest drivers from their (Geniatech) website, but they don't mention Windows 7 at all. Oddly, when I was using Win 7 Beta, MC worked perfectly and the picture was great. SInce getting the RC, i'm having this blurriness problem.

I was having similar problems with my hauppauge PVR 150 tuner card. I checked their web site and found this:
"Note: Currently, the WinTV-PVR-150 and WinTV-PVR-500 receivers used with 64-bit versions of Windows are limited to less than 4GB of memory"

I was using the 64- bit version of windows 7 with 4GB of ram memory on my desktop computer. As a result, I had to make a decision - keep the 4GB of ram and have no WMC TV or reduce the ram to under 4GB and have it work perfectly.

Well, since I dropped back to 3 gigs of ram my problem is gone.

That pretty much sums it up. It's not my ram, it's the 4 gigs of ram that causes the issue.

should I understand that my Hauppauge PVR 150 won't work even in the future with my 4gig of ram?
Or would they get it fixed?...

This problem was on vista too or jsut on Windows 7?

There is no current fix from Hauppauge for this problem. Those TV cards will not work with 4GB or more of ram which is only a problem when using ANY 64-bit operating system. I doubt if there will be a forthcoming fix. Its either buy a different type of TV card of use less than 4GB of ram. :(

I've post this question on the hauppauge uk forum 1 month ago and no one has answered me. I'm happy to have found the answer of my problem here!

So you are recommending replacement TV cards instead of resolving problem.
Am I correct?

That file ftp://ftp.pctvsystems.com/TV/driver/PCTV 72e/PCTV 72e 320cx.zip is a zip file. You have to open with winzip or winrar program and extract the contents to a folder. Then you have to open the Device Manager in Control Panel and look for the hardware that have and exclamation point. Click right button, choose "Update Driver Software" and choose "Browse my computer for driver software", then browse to the folder you extract the zip file and click Next.

My brother has a Medion SAA7131 TV card. It worked fine with Vista but just locks when he tries to scan for programmes in Windows 7.
