Solved Windows update cannot search for updates. error 80248015

When I go to windows update it's in red and when I click to check for updates,I get the message Windows cannot check for updates error 80248015. I checked my settings and they are ok. Ran the update readiness tool but to no avail. Tried System restore and to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. I tried Microsoft FIX it but I get the message that it cannot connect to the server. Any help would be appreciated.

Check that the system time and date is set correctly.

joodoo!!!!, Thank you very much. That was the problem. I looked at the date and time before,the time was right so I DIDN'T pay attention to the date(duh!). It was wrong! Thank you for your help.
