For the past few days Windows update has continued to fail.
I feel like Ive tried everything to resolve this and from what I can gather my only option is to reinstall Windows. But then I spotted this
http://www.sevenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/375470-windows-update-error-80073712-a.html
and thought maybe there was hope.....
I removed YAC, ran Avast and Malwarebytes. Removed a few things along the way.
I have run the SURT and sfc scan a number of times.
I found some corrupt files - tcpmon.ini, utc.app.json, telemetry.ASM-WindowsDefault.json
I replaced tcpmon.ini with a clean version from another computer and gather from other forums that the other two can be ignored for now.
And last night I reset Windows Update components (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971058) which looked like it had worked but sadly not.
I've gone round a few circles.....any help would be greatly appreciated
I have attached a compressed CBS.log - the CBS folder seems too large to attach
Cheers
