Solved windows update just keeps looking

hi guys

i have just reinstalled windows 7 and the only thing i have installed is the chipset drivers.

windows update is not working, all it is doing is says checking for updates and just keeps going. but when i looking task manager i can see it is not even using any internet at all.

i have tried everything from windows update reset, net.frame fix, microsoft fix the lot. i have also tried reintalling windows 7 again and still nothing from it. i have never had this problem in the past, has microsoft given up on windows 7 or something?

can anyone help me please?

Set the computer to not sleep.
Manually start the search for updates.
Leave the computer alone for 24 hours.

left it running all morning while i went out and it finally found the updates. thats messed up though that people are having to do this.

Well there are hundreds of updates
Not to mention all of the new win-10 ones.
