Yeah you can make it transparent, right click the desktop and click personalize, then click Windows Color on the bottom, And you can enable or disable transparency. To make windows vista look more realistic you can enable the quick launch bar, you right click on your taskbar then hover over toolbars then click new toolbar then in the bar in the top you paste %AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch then hit enter and select folder, then unpin all of the icons in the taskbar and make sure you unlock the taskbar then drag the quick launch bar to the left, make sure you have no windows open in the taskbar then you right click on the taskbar and click show text and click show title. It will will disable the text next to the icons in the quick launcher bar and then when you have dragged the quick launch all the way to the left you can lock the taskbar, and also make sure you have small icons enabled too if you want for the vista theme to look more realistic.
