[WinKey+E] default folder

do you know how to change the [WinKey+E] default folder so it would open 'My computer' instead of 'Libraries'

I think shortcut key commands are hard coded and cannot be changed.

Can some one please confirm this, thanks.

There is a workaround.

First have a look at this page:

That tells you how to set the default start folder for your pinned taskbar shortcut to be root drive, My Computer or User Folder.

Then, assuming your Windows Explorer shortcut is the first pinned item to the right of the Start button, hit Winkey + 1. If it's the second, hit Winkey+2 etc. Up pops Explorer with your preferred start folder.

For some that will work, but:
- I'm used to winKey+E and i using it for more then 5 years so it would be troublesome to switch to another combination
- I don't have explorer pinned anywhere because that would negate the purpose of having a global hot keys

You'd need an app that would hook into the API for the OS allowing you to override the Win+E shortcut....
