Hello All,

I recently re-installed WIN7 after my boss wanted the HD cleaned. However I can no longer get an internet connection. I have read other forums/ blogs saying there are programs that can find the correct driver I need but i cannot get access to the internet to do so. I am wondering if there is another solution out there that can remedy my problem. One IT person came to me and could not figure it out saying he could not find the drivers and did not know how to solve it. Thank you for the help!

Nate

Download the Chipset,Audio, Graphics, and LAN or Ethernet Driver directly from the PC manufactures website.

Just download them from another PC, and save them to a USB stick.
Install the driver to the Dell from the USB stick.

This should help:

Be sure to choose the approriate OS

You may also want to use the service tag number to ensure you get the correct drivers. Otherwise, make sure what you are downloading is what you have.

Dell makes the process very simple. Use the service tag. Any IT person should have known that...so I'd question the ability of the person who told you they couldn't find them.

The first rule in doing a clean install is to always have the drivers handy....especially network and/or wireless.

You should be able to see what the network card is from Dell's site and then download them from the manufacturer's website. You could also try the Vista ones that Dell offers.

Can see them all for that model and there is a lot more than just the two you mentioned,

Did you use the service tag, or search by model number? The above shows using the model number.

The network driver. From what is offered, it has the Broadcom network chip on it.
