wireless adaptor not detected in reinstallation of Win 7

I have dell Vostro 3450. when i reformatted the disk and installed the win7, wireless adaptor was not detected and also one of the USB port was not enabled. Please help me.

Have you made sure the drivers for the non-functioning devices are installed?
I'd start with the Drivers and Downloads page at Dell. Just put in your service tag from your machine and a list of available drivers to download should populate.

Also, go to Device Manager to see which devices are marked with a "?" or "!". You will need to download and install the drivers for those devices too.

For WiFi, note in Device Manager the brand of WiFi chip. Many times the laptop manufacturer lists more than one WiFi driver for a particular machine. You want to select the right one.

Dell is better than most in this respect because they use the Service Tag to only offer the specific drivers you need for your machine.
