Wireless Completely gone

I installed windows 7. I orginally had windows xp and I'm using the intel pro wireless 2915abg chip to connect. After installing windows 7 it completely did not recognize it and is not using it. When I go to network and sharing it doesn't show that i have a wireless connection at all. I'm having lots of trouble finding the right driver if anyone has a solution or is having the same problem let me know.

Is this onboard?, if so, try looking on the Motherboard Manufacturer's site, and see if its got a motherboard driver, should cover everything.

I checked out the asus site but it didn't have the windows 7 - 64 bit drivers for the chip however i noticed somewhere on Microsoft's site that the Intel wireless chip is compatible i just can't find a way to get it going.

This is a long shot, but sometimes using the "sfc /scannow" command can sometimes find certain generic drivers on your hard drive to try to work with it. I say this because as a last resort I did this on a friends computer, worked like a charm.

Uhm...

This command will immediately initiate the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replacing any files with which it finds a problem.

I dunno how that worked out, a system file went corrupt, and SFC fixed it, which allowed the driver to function properly?

I dunno, but funny that it worked.
