Hello, Im really confused on how to setup my connection here. I have two routers. One is a wired ADSL2 modem router and one is wireless. I cannot secure the wireless connection because the IP address that shows in my webpage is the Wired one. How can i use the wireless one? and how can i secure it? Im really confused. Thanks a lot :)

Well, you have a modem that plugs into the wall, and a router that plugs into your modem. typically, you only have a single router. You have a wired router that can only have wired connections and a wireless router that can only link wirelessly? You sure, I have never heard of such a thing.

I would wager to say that the "wireless" router can connect with cables as well. Are you attempting to connect wirelessly or through cable, or both?

Wired and wireless routers

I actually have two laptops here and in trying to connect wirelessly. However, i cant change the settings of the second wireless router since the IP address that shows in my webpage is the first wired router. It's really complicated.. Thankyou very much

Perhaps to clarify:

There are adapters and routers. Adapters are parts in a computer, and routers are connected to the modem that connects to your wall. Why do you need two routers? You should only need a single router, though whichever computers you plan on using wirelessly will need wireless network adapters. Laptops should all come with them, so did you download the drivers for them off the company's website? That will go through an installation guide (and if you can't connect to the internet at all, use the CD that should have come with them for the wireless drivers).

Other than adding security and a password to the router, why are you changing things in it? Likely it will bring more harm than otherwise.

Exactly what settings are you changing in the router? You don't set up wireless connections by going into the router.
