I hope you will forgive me if this question has already been answered in the past. I have looked but have failed to find a similar problem but the range of this site is huge. So here goes....
I have fitted a Sandisk SSD to a friends pc and cloned his 7 Home Premium 64bit onto it. So far so good. When I come to move the folders 'my downloads/documents' and all the other storage folders (his photo collection runs to over 7 gigabytes) onto his old one terrabyte drive now freshly formatted to NTFS I get a "server failed" message when I try to access them.
I realise he can simply create folders and access them via my computer but he is a creature of habit and wants to continue to use his tried and tested desktop icons.
I think what I'm asking is for help in redirecting the target of these icons to the big HD. Can you help please my credibility is in danger !!
