Hi,

It came to my attention recently that the copy/move rate between my 7 and my NAS was under set :
- The adapter is part of a gigabyte X58 motherboard, stated 10/100/1000.
- Swich gigabit trendnet + cat. 6 cable.
- NAS synology DS1513+ with a gigabit network adapter.
- Last available driver.

For unknow reason I'n not able to make it work at the right speed (I suspect the really really really customized, modified, etc... old windows 7 installation to be the culprit).

Do you know of a workaround ?

Thanks in advance for any advice & tips.

What is the speed your network card running at? Often if you have it set to full duplex that means send and recieve at the same time and lots of domestic routers can handle it and drop the spreed back to 100 meg

it's strange.

I have a fiber internet box allowing around 90Mb/s according to speed tests. With good conditions I achieve 40, 50Mb/s in downloads but when I copy/move some files between W7 and my NAS, the best I've come to is 10MB/S. It starts around 70, 80 but drops in 1 second to 8, 9.

My adapter doesn' give me much choices : I have 10, half or full.. 100, half or full, 1000 full or auto negociation. I've tried this one with no luck.

The strangest thing is that I've applied a restoration point and my card showed (and achieved in copy/move) 1.0 gb... until waking my system from sleep... And I was back at 100.
