Xbox 360 Turns on by itself....

as we know the slim is touch and you need skin contact( I think I didn't look that close into how it works) but my xbox will turn on at random and there is nothing plugged into it and my controllers are not connected. ive had it where it wont turn off as well by tapping the power button it only makes the noise and sometimes shuts down seconds later. the xbox went to Microsoft one time befor due to bad disc drive on a new unit so id think they would've checked this over the first time. I also keep a heavy duty fan running ontop to extract heat to prevent overheating. as far as I know there are no damages to the system.

the fan isnt needed lol the slim was redesigned to be cooler.

the power button works just the same as a laptop touch pad. it uses your electric current to work.

however there is a design flaw I noticed with the slim but never sussed out.

this sounds stupid but either lick or put your cheek on the metal bezel, do you get a constant low voltage shock??

if so your hdmi cable is at fault. dont ask how or why, buy my slim used to do the same and I only noticed when I put my face on the top to see dpwn the back when I noticed being shocked!! I read somewhere online that cheap hdmi cables often cause things like this. swapped mine and it went away.

thanks, ill check after work. I do need the fan however because I put hours into it when its on and it gets very hot to the point where it should turn off. and the fan keeps it cool, I bought a heavy duty hdmi cord just for it too but wont hurt to check.

after work I checked the hdmi theory and I did not get a shock from the power button.... it does not have a pattern. on a side note my wife an I were saying it was a ghost screwn with me and when id turn it off and sit back down the damn thing would turn on like it was a game and it did this a few times. not sure if I beleave in ghosts or not but wtf.
