I have an old Cisco cable TV box. The last time a cable tech had a service call here, he mentioned that they are phasing out the old cable boxes and replacing them with Xumo. The only reason I have the Cisco is because I have a CRT TV which connects with a coax cable only. He said to use the Xumo receiver, I'd need a TV with an HDMI jack.
It's like - why am I still using Windows 7 on a 13 year old desktop? Because I am familiar with that technology. I've been reading about Xumo online and it all seems confusing. I am seeing conflicting info as to whether I can get regular cable TV or not on a Xumo receiver. It also mentions streaming. I'm an old lady and don't know what half the terminology means or how I would adjust to it. People have told me that I should stop living in the 1990s and get modern electronics. I wouldn't know how to use them.
