Yet Another "Permissions" question - Cant delete folder

Cant Delete Folders on D: E: F: G: - Logged in as Admin

Ok, I have UAC off, tried two of the registry hacks to "Take Control" when I right click a file/folder.

These files and folders are not on my main "C" drive. This is on a different hard drive. I am logged in as Admin (the account I made when I installed 7".

All I want is to control the files/folders that are mine, I could care less about the windows files.

Some delete, some dont.

Is there a way to turn this off so I can delete files from my other hard drives? Thanks!

Did you attempt to "take ownership" of the entire drive on which these files you want to delete are located? If not, I would try that.

It works the same in Seven as it does in Vista.

Well I used the take ownership registry key thing so you could right click and take ownership, ive tried 2 different ones, but that doesnt seem to work =(

Same thing happened to me. I was able to click on the drive and give full permissions to "everyone" for the drive letter and I've been good to go ever since. It's incredibly frustrating when you can't add/delete or change your own files--what was Microsoft thinking? There needs to be a "don't bug me with padlocks" button, LOL!
