How to Select Host Devices to Share with Virtual Machines in Windows Virtual PC

       Information
This will show you how to select devices and drives from your Windows 7 computer (host) to share with virtual machines (guest) in Windows Virtual PC to make it easier to copy files and folders between the host and guest.

       Note
You will need to have installed and enabled Integration Features in the virtual machine first before you will be able to share the selected host devices and drives.
       Warning
Sharing host resources poses a potential security risk because the guest operating system may not be as secure as the Windows 7 host operating system. You should assess both the need for access to host devices and drives and the potential security risk so that you can determine which devices and drives to share, and when to share them.

    Here's How:
    1. Open the Windows Virtual PC settings for the virtual machine than you want to select host device to share with.

    2. In the left pane, select Integration Features. (see screenshot below step 5)

    3. To Not Share a Host Device or Drive
    A) In the right pane, uncheck the device or drive. (see screenshot below step 5)
    4. To Share a Host Device or Drive
    A) In the right pane, check the device or drive. (see screenshot below step 5)
    5. When finished, click on OK. (see screenshot below)

Good one! Shawn Many are still unaware of this when downloading and setting up the VPC by itself or even with the XP Mode having this option seen there.
