    I followed instructions i found here on Seven forums to take full control of Fonts folder and after that i could deleted them, i made an intact backup of the folder just in case any program or application runs intro troubles.

I hope I am in the correct section for my question! I have been trying for a while to delete fonts from my computer. Everytime I try to delete a font, it says font is in use, close programs and try again. I have done this and it still come up with the same message. I have even gone into safe mode...

Ok, well, I'm a fool. I needed to install a font, thought I clicked just one, but somehow must have chosen all. I have loaded over 10,000 fonts on my system. How can I revert to just the basic font set that comes with Win7? Deleting manually would just be too time consuming.
I downloaded some free commercial use fonts from font squirrel,but they have caused photoshop to stop working, which is causing big dramas. I have tried deleting the new fonts but they just sit there.. even though they are NOT 'read only' and i AM logged in as administrator... help!

Hi I would like to have a bare minimum of fonts in my Fonts folder. I only use a few fonts, and none in Asian languages. I've read the advice to leave the fonts alone and hide rather than uninstalling them, but in a number of programs they don't get hidden, even after I've hidden them in...
