    But in my case the shortcut created by mine, exactly as it's on the tutorial, leads me to the explorer. But it may be something wrong in my system, because nowadays it has a "strage performance".
    Afterall, thank you for your tutorials and help.:)

    Strange. As a test to see if it's just your user account or the system, create a new administrator account to see if the shortcut workd properly while logged into it.

    wasn't there a folder you could create in the root of the system drive, rename it to (something {clsid} and it would give all control functions to you in this one folder?
    I can't find it on here so am asking, please.

    Hi, I had an issue with the "windows cannot find ::{26EE0668-A00A-44D7-9371-BEB064C98683}\0\::{05d7b0f4-2121-4eff-bf6b...\systemicons" error when I right click on the Notification Area and then click properties. As I was reading the previous posts I created another administrator account and then logged in with it. After logging back to my old account i no longer have this issue. Althought I probably fixed this, I found my backup files and restore points no longer exist. Could this all be connected?

    Hello Kostantin, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    For System icons, you could use the location below instead. :)

    %windir%\explorer.exe shell:::{05d7b0f4-2121-4eff-bf6b-ed3f69b894d9} \SystemIcons

    System Icons Shortcut - Create

    Hope this helps,

    Hello Rusty,

    I'm sorry, but it doesn't open anything for me. That GUID number is not even referenced in the Windows 7 registry.
