Hello Steven,

That is strange. I guess you may have already had it enabled before from IE8, or just got lucky.

now if only I could move the menubar back to its rightful place at the top of the window. Having the address bar and tabs and such above it is just...wrong. But I highly doubt that is possible now, looking at this layout.

Hello Tayla, and welcome to Seven Forums.

I have not tested this in IE9 beta yet, but you might see if this may work for you.

Brink, Well that didn't last long! Now it is gone. I just did your Tutorial on keeping the menu bar always on. It did not work? Even when I hit the Alt key it shows up, then when I go to close IE it goes away and I have to hit the close button again.
Suggestions?

Hello Toughbook,

Unfortunately IE9 is still a beta, so there may be bugs or issues in it that may cause IE9 to not work properly on all system setups yet. You might see if resetting or uninstall/reinstall IE9 may help.

I think that is a good idea. I have to do it on another computer of mine as well. IE keeps crashing on every web page I open with ever since I installed IE9.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks Brink.

Menu bar was already checked but toolbar was off. Alt worked to pop it up.

Used Option 3 to enable.
Works good so far.

Hello Mike,

Thank you for posting back with your results.

Dew,

I get the same thing in the 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 using with the 32-bit and 64-bit IE9. The View -> Toolbars -> Menu bar is already checked, but it does not always stay on. Thank you though.

Brink,

yes, you are right. I installed it and tried to do that but does not always stay On. I think Microsoft will fix this problem .
