Thank you Alex. I've updated the information box at the top of the tutorial to help more with that.

Tweakrad:

Thats a lot of tweaks. I'm learning more and more about tweaks, not that I am really into making changes other than perhaps visual or what not. Is there a descriptive list of what each of these actually do by chance?

Hello Berkey,

Usually the link in the listed option will give you more details about it. If you have any questions after reading through them, then please feel free to ask away.

Hi Brink,

Yes I have studied many of your "official" tips that made the list, but the ones that tweakradje posted in #78 don't seem to have any in depth information about either the registry tweaks or at least posted a link to any of the others as well. Some of it is pretty self explanatory, but some are not.

I have seen a memory management for general 7 and SSD optimizations use DWORD set either to 1 or 0 for the following:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management]

DisablePagingExecutive
LargeSystemCache
NonPagedPoolQuota
NonPagedPoolSize
PagedPoolQuota
PagedPoolSize
SessionViewSize
SessionPoolSize
WriteWatch

I've also seen a interstig tweak that claims to run a program in a separate box, thus if it crashes will not crash other programs.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]

MemCheckBoxInRunDlg DWORD 1

They look interesting, but I have read that they are not as good as they seem. Any experience with these particular tweaks?

I haven't used them, but they should be fine to test if you like.

You might consider creating a restore point before you do to make it easier to undo them later if you like.

Hello Debzb, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Sorry, but no.

However, you can click on Tutorial Tools at the top right of a tutorial, click on Printable version, then print it from your browser (IE - File -> Print) adjusting what pages you want to print.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Since you're using Chrome, you can easily select save to PDF when printing. Handy feature!

Good catch AJ.

I forgot about the PDF option to select instead of your printer in Chrome.
