    Like Supermonkey

"there does appear to be an error though: I had to call it MSIServer (not MSIService) with the value Service."

But it worked once I did that.

    Thanks!

I am trying to uninstall Skype in safe mode as nothing else I have tried works. Even tried using CCleaner. I went into the registry and performed all the steps. The response was an error, "Windows could not start the Windows Installer service on Local Computer. Error 1084. This service cannot be started in Safe Mode.

At Command Prompt, I got the error, "The Service name is invalid."

Will this method work in windows 10 as well or not? I've been getting the same error message and I'm trying to uninstall some Razer mouse drivers. I'm only able to boot in safe mode...I made a thread here: Only able to boot in safe mode; constant blue screens/restarting - Windows 10 Forums
