I wouldn't, I'd use the boot disk; that's asking for trouble, IMMHO!

Done

Startup repair repaired it in 2 tries.. the third time it didn't find any errors.
On those two tries it was referring my system disk to be g:, i thought here we go again...lol but turns out upon booting into windows again its now c:.

Thanks for all the help Bare Foot Kid...much appreciated.

One more thing, its still showing 'detected operating system on winre as windows 7 (recovered) on g: local disk', will it pose some problem while i'm manipulating the partitions in future when i add the extra hdd?

Does the SysResv have a drive letter? if it does remove it using Windows disk management.
