    Hello Pokka,

That shield icon overlay on a icon indicates that program will require you to allow UAC permission before it will run or open. It cannot be removed.

I followed the directions for elevated privileges. The shortcut works fine with an administrator login. When I log in as a domain user, the shortcut quickly displays the schedular but the program never opens. Any clue?

The program I'm trying to launch is Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004

Hello Fssicher, and welcome to Seven Forums.

It sounds like it is some setting used by the domain administrator that is causing it to not work on your domain. I'm not sure which one it would be though.

    Doesn't work

I'm having trouble getting this to work with RMClock. I'd ideally like to launch this at startup. For some reason the task always fails when I use the Trigger to launch at startup.

If I run the task in task scheduler it works fine. I therefore got the idea to create the icon and include it in startup. But I get the same results everytime. The icon doesn't work (neither does the command line in command prompt). It always states the task failed to start due to constraints.

I only have the one main adminstrator account created which I am logged into. Can someone assist?

Hello LifeWithWin7, and welcome to Seven Forums.

I'm not sure which method you used with Task Schedular, but you might see if doing Method Two in OPTION ONE of the tutorial below like in Vista may be able to work with this for you.

Startup Programs - Enable or Disable - Vista Forums

    Hope this helps,

Thank you for information, but I still have some problems. Actually I didn't understand you previous answers clearly.

When I start the shortcut under the Standart User (which I've created following your tutorial under the Admin's Account) it prints "ERROR: Access is denied". But it's working properly under the Admin's account.

    Could you help me, please.

Hello Sikorskiy, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You may need to change the permission level of the file to allow that user account access. Step 11 on in the tutorial below can help show you how to if needed.

    Hope this helps,

Thank you, but it doesn't work Everything is set as it's written in the tutorial. Standart User has full control on the exe-file and on the shortcut (but checkmarks are grey, I don't know why - so I can't switch off full control, for examle, I can only deny some actions using other checkmarks)
