It's an exe-file for starting online game. I don't think, than it has some special settings.
Since it is also trying to access online and not just run a program only on the computer, that may be the issue. I'm not sure if there's a way around that in a standard account other than using the default shortcut and entering the administrator's password in UAC to run it if able.
Hello Brink. I use this to run CoreTemp and Task Manager on startup. I wondered why step three shows configuring for Vista instead of Windows 7. My thought was it just wasn't changed from when this was originally created for Vista. But I also wanted to know how it affects this.
As always, thanks for the fantastic tuts.
Hello Barefoot,
You would just select the configure option that the program, or task, was designed for instead. It's just what happened to be the default when I took the screenshot. That's all. This option is basically the same as Compatibility Mode.
Is there any way to hide the popup of the Cmd console for an elevated task?
Hello Greg,
Yes, at step 20 under the Shortcut tab in the shortcut's properties, you can select Minimized in the drop down menu to the left of Run and click OK to stop it.
What was the command you used in Task Schedular to run the program? If it was a command line, then adding a /s silent switch should do it.
