You're most welcome. I hope it goes smoothly for you. :)
Excellent Brink ,but how do you allow a standard user to install and update existing programes, eg:Steam.
I use the parental time controls to ensure that my son does not play games too late on school nights, The problem starts when he wants to install a new game. Can you advise.
Hello Martimcfly, and welcome to Seven Forums.
Since your son is using a standard user account, he will not be able to do anything that affects the system or other users by default. This, as you found out, includes any programs that affects the same or requires to "Run as administrator" for it to run or install.
Hi Brink
Suggestion:
Perhaps you should add a section, describing how to force inheritance onto child objects.
This issue has popped up a few times on the forum. :)
Hello Peter,
Yeah, that's a tricky issue. I'll add it to the list to see what I might be able to come up with for it. :)
Ok Peter. The tutorial has been fully updated to include inheritable permissions as well now. :)

Hello, how theses rights are handled on external media ?
What would happen if i deny acces to a removable media to "everyone" and only leave full control on my account and built in administrators account, and plug the removable media on an other computer ?
(Note that i'm asking that for a non AD environement)
Regards
Hello Magissia,
If the external media was formatted as NTFS, then the permissions will also be applied on any Windows PC.
Hope this helps, :)
Shawn
Thanks you very much ! (yes it helps)
