You can try a repair install. Worst case scenario is you need to reinstall Windows.

Boot your PC with a Windows 7 install DVD and follow then instructions on the repair install tutorial.

If this is not possible due for instance missing install DVD, restore your system using the backup or system image you created before starting this procedure. If you have not backed up, I recommend new clean installation.

To boot from Windows DVD, your BIOS bootorder needs to be set to boot from optical drive first. This gives you a message Press a key to boot from DVD, giving you about 5 seconds time to press a key. If a key is not pressed, system bootsd from HD.

Alright so I got it all done! thank you so much for your help. I think the problem the first time was that I didn't change the drive letter that programdata and users go on (my secondary drive isn't D:. So that might be worth mentioning in the guide.

Also, when I install programs, do I put them on the ssd or the hdd?

Good to know you got it working. Where to install programs is of course up to you. Most setup / install tools let you to choose on which drive and folder to install, defaulting to <systemdrive>:\Program Files or <systemdrive>:\Program Files (x86).

Message you get has nothing to do with answer file (script) you copy / pasted. This is a typical message you get when the sysprep command to run script has a syntax error, when it is not correct. More precisely, it says command line does not include mode of sysprep operation i.e. one or both of the parameters /audit and /reboot is missing.

Check the syntax:

Sysprep.exe /audit /reboot /unattend:Path_to_answerfile (for instance D:\relocate.xml).
