    Hello Sope,

I would see if creating a shortcut, then set it to open minimized. Next, use the path to the shortcut in Task Scheduler instead.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Wow, that was a quick reply, thanks Brink! I'd just added an update to my post though :-

Sorry for wasting your time although your answer may well be useful with a program that doesn't have the "start minimized" feature built in.

    Cheers.

I've also followed this advice and have Speedfan opening successfully on startup, but there's still a problem - I would like it to open in a minimized state. I know this can be done by customizing a shortcut but I can't see a way to achieve this using the Task Scheduler.

    Any advice appreciated.

Hi. I've got the same problem as Sope. But thru Windows live mail. Which doesn't have the option of always starting minimized.

I have it thru option 1 (Startup folder) opening at startup. and I have it in vista compatibility mode so that I can minimize it to the system tray.

I want it to start minimized to the system tray when i turn on my computer. Can anyone help with this?

    Hello Static,

See if also right clicking on the WLM shortcut in the Startup folder and clicking on Properties, Shortcut tab, then select Minimized in the drop down menu to the right of Run will allow WLM start minimized for you. :)
