what i did: i integrated sp1, then saved the image, reopened rt7lite, selected professional again, didn't check to integrate sp1 (coz it's already there, it was noted in the main window too), selected integrate in tasks, apply, then rebuild all images, high priority, commit, then built the iso.

Did you create the slipstreamed SP1 ISO as in the tutorial and not any other method?

When you got to step 12, did you add a new Windows Update MSU file before clicking on "Apply"? This must be done for it to work.

Here are some screenshots of what I have below. The slipstream SP1 ISO is of Windows 7 Ultimate created first in the tutorial. Next, as an example, I added the (KB2488113) MSU to be integrated (applied) with "rebuild all images", etc....

I used this new all-in-one slipstream SP1 ISO, and selected Home Premium to install. Each Windows 7 edition showed as SP1 though.

I have to wonder if you can also slipstream the IE 9 installer into the iso as well once the final version is out. Since that is also considered an update of the browser included with 7 but usually separate from the regular updates I had to toss that in here.

Since the IE9 RC installer is an EXE file right now, you could integrate into a slipstream Windows 7 SP1. It would be the same procedure as if you were adding a Windows Update, but you would click on the Applications tab in step 12C instead.

However, there's not much point to do so unless you just like the convenience of having the exe files install unattended. I tested integrating applications (exe files) into the slipstream, and all it does is run the exe installers one by one to install them, as you would have normally, during the installation of the slipstream Windows 7 SP1 at it's first startup. It doesn't trully have them preinstalled into the slipstream SP1.

I would wait until the final IE9 came down through Windows Updates to see if it will be available as a MSU file then. If so, then you could use the tutorial as is to add the Windows Updates MSU file for IE9 for it to be trully integrated.

That's what I was questioning since a direct download would be an exe file unless available through the Windows Updates. An MSU option would be the answer over waiting and watching each app run through it's own install during a fresh serup of 7.

You wouldn't expect to see Adobe or Java MSU for sure to expect those to be exe. In fact out of the 25 updates one needed a request being a hot fix I added along the way for WiFi. The other 24 will be slipstreamed the next time I run a test on the program.

One thing I've been finding in the last day or so is the need to remove the files from the temporary extraction folder used inbetween sessions as well as the RT folder under your user account since any unmounted file will prevent the program from loading up to the main gui.

It looked like a partial install of Windows inside the RT Mount folder that was also cleaned up.

You should only need to close and reopen (click on Finish) RT Seven Lite before doing any other sessions to allow the program to clean itself instead.

I found the solution for what was preventing a normal run. That replacement RT_Mount folder found under "C:\users\user account name\AppData\Local\Temp" had to go and actually disappeared once the first was renamed.

Once I created the replacement folder while still removing the first since something else apparently tied that up the next attempt saw immediate results. Apparently it wasn't able to clean up after the last session run where taking ownership for manual deletion came up.

The next test in progress now is for adding in those 24 updates along with SP1.

Update:

The new dvd weighed in at 3.82gb with all 24 updated integrated along with the SP1. The RT_Mount disappeared on it's own as it should while the temp extraction folder you designate will need to be cleaned up or deleted manually.
