LOL Thanks Brink. Quick question. If I use this SP1 iso to repair an installation that is SP1 plus later updates will there be conflicts due to the fact that I'm repairing a later "version" of SP1 (i.e. on with updates) with the no-update SP1?
In that case I'd suggest to get an ISO SP1 U version for your edition. It should work fine. :)

[B]ERROR: Please select a valid Windows 7 OS while using RT 7 Lite[B]

    Hello,

I am trying to include updates on a bootable USB stick made from an image I downloaded from Digital River (X17-59183). I've read many tutorials, including the excellent one here, but still questions remain -- especially after receiving the RT 7 Lite error referenced in the title of this thread. The error came on Step #7 of the tutorial.

[LIST=1][*]Is it possible to do this given that my install medium is not "original"?[*]Is my downloaded image not "original" because it has already been used? Do I download it again and start over?[*]Isn't SP 1 included in the download from DRiver?[*]If it is possible, what is the optimal approach?[*]DO you think it is it even worth all of the time to download all 100+ updates individually?
    My info:
    W7 Pro/32 bit SP1

Thanks for your help and please forgive my ignorance.

Hi, Brink, There is real issue in upgrading, if you have not updated your sp1 after installation, then there will be no problem in upgrading . I think
there is bound to be problem, when the system has service pack updated, and your installation dvd without it.
even some third party slip streaming advice will not work. It will create everything, but your system may altogether collapse.
I want to know, how to slip stream in this case?. You may not be able to delete service pack once installed in your hard drive. Is it correct. If you have disk clean the system service pack, then it is not possible to use it either.
How to make your computer to have only the features, to what the dvd of the operating system

    Hello John,

If you have a fast internet connection, and don't reinstall often, then personally you may be better off to just check for and install Windows Updates normally instead.

You could download a SP1 U (media refresh) ISO file that includes more updates to help cut down on how many you'll have to install in Windows Update.

    Hope this helps, :)

    Hello Jraju,

I'm not sure I follow you. Do you mean doing a repair install when you say upgrading??

If so, then you cannot use slipstream installation media to do a repair install with. It just fails everytime.

    Troubles

I have the rt 7 lite x64 version installed on my x64 copy of windows 7 enterprise.

Everytime I try to slipstream SP1 into the windows 7 enterprise iso, it locks up at 100%.

The little progress dots keep moving, but the buttons to continue never light up so to say. They stay grayed out.

    Any suggestions?

Hello DarcX3, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you like, you could just download am official Windows 7 Enterprise w/SP1 ISO file at the Microsoft link below instead. :)

You make it too easy my friend!

I wanted to play with some of those additional features. I guess I'll download that then play with them :)

Thanks for making me feel like a newb!
