Yes, that would be the latest available ISO for that edition of 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium.
In that case, you can use the instructions below if you like for a clean install.

Your tutorial (and other places) have mentioned saving drivers in case they are needed. Is the correct path to those drivers "C:\windows\system32\drivers\". If so, why not save the entire folder. I've always wondered about this. In the past I did not carry a parachute hoping I wouldn't need it. Kinda foolhardy, huh?

You would basically need to save the downloaded driver installation files to use to reinstall them after Windows is installed instead.
Summary:
RT7Lite 2.6.0 and WHDownloader 0.1.0(WHDownloader has a lot of unnecessary patches that will make ISO over 5GB DVD+R/DVD+RW can only over-burn to 4.85GB)
or
RT7Lite 2.6.0 and WUD 2.5.0 Build 1002
Hi I know this is an old thread but just wondering if this would work with a W7 64 bit SP1 retail cd I have? I occasionally do a clean install and I have to wait for hours for windows to update the 200 or so files. Can I use this guide do extract an ISO from my DVD, uncheck the slipstream SP! tickbox and just add the updates found from the windows update website? Is there a better solution for me to integrate the 200 updates into my retail copy so installation is much quicker? How does this work in general? Has anybody noticed any errors in windows due to installing a slipstreamed version?
Thanks in advance.
Hello Bash, and welcome to Seven Forums.
Sure, this would work with your installation DVD.
You can also slipstream Windows Updates as well, but you'll have to download the MSU file for each Windows Update that you want to slipstream (include) in the created ISO.
The main issue with slipstream installation media, is that you will not be able to use it to do a repair install. You will only be able to do a clean install with it.
Thank you brink. I only do clean installs anyway so repair install not working with this method is not a problem. What about incorporating drivers into the slipstream, is it just the .inf files that i need to add to particular option in RT7lite?
I'm not sure about drivers, but they are always needing to be updated anyways. I like to keep the latest driver setup file downloaded and saved. This way I can easily just install them back to back after a clean install.
It appears the RT Se7en Lite download links are not working, even from their own website. Does that render this tutorial useless?
