Just a quick query and has probably been covered but can't find it.

Have just got my 128GGB Crucial and ant to istall th eOS onto it and keep my Seagates as backups.
    1. The machine is set for ACHI do I have to reset it before running the SSD?
    2. Do I have reinstall my security as they will see me as using the same activation code on two machines and ? stop me.
    3. Is it better just to transfer the security after the OS is on and delete it from the "old" drive.
4.I have two Seagates 1TB in situ and do clone from time to time from one to the other with EaseUS can I still clone the SSD to those without wiping the Seagates?

    1. Leave the setting in BIOS to AHCI before installing the SSD.
    2. Try uninstalling security from the Hard Drive before you put in back on the SSD.
    3.See #2
    4. Yes you can. :)

I plan to keep my current OS Seagate as an active drive after installing an SSD. So I can boot normally to the SSD and use the data partitions on the Seagate but boot to the Seagate if needed.

I think this is similar to ICit2lol's requirement. The point I want to make is that the Seagate and SSD will need to have different disk signatures.

Spot on MJF thats just what I wanted to do I was just concerned re the security coverage using the SSD and the drives as backups but Britton has explained that bit so it's full steam ahead as soon as I get my jobs done woo-hoo!!

MJF, only your boot partition should be active.

Gary, I think Michael is talking about 2 different physical drives from where he loads switching with the BIOS boot order.

I believe they want you to install the program on one machine.

From there, you can transfer as many os to ssd - or other hdd as you like.

They do a rather interesting free app. here: http://www.paragon-software.com/hitachi/

Don't let the name put you off - you can ignore that function if you like.

Oddly, the splash screen says PM10 - it is in fact PM11 Pro - with one or two missing features.

I tried all differing combinations but the same errors occurred for some reason. I mean, the point is somewhat moot as I have since uninstalled the program (single use only), it was more so that people be prepared for some difficulty with the software, in terms of support.
I am a little confused with the license terms. You suggest it's a one shot deal?

WHS can you shed some light on the licensing constraints - I can't get a clear understanding from the Paragon Website.

    Also, Drive Copy 11 Professional
Paragon Drive Copy - Professional Hard Disk Copy, Disk Cloning and System Migration - deploy new hard drive easily!
seems to do the same transfer plus other separate attractive capabilities

Anyone like to comment (yes it's $40 as opposed to $20)
