I'm afraid that I don't know either for that.
I cannot find the tutorial again Shawn but have just got the IE to open so that it fills the open window as I was constantly dragging and dropping the edges or clicking on the max button which gave me a "double" squared look and still does.
The settings I changed were in Tools > IE options > Advancdd and I just ticked the bottom two boxes and I am not sure if this is the correct way to do it.
Sorry again but I just cannot find the tutorial again (by accident from a Google search).
No Shawn I don't need the full screen just to make it fill the screen space - I used to have to click the max button to make it fill the available space but used a tutorial by you to make it open as I wanted it - a pic of how it used to open and if you can see the max button on my email has a double square.
I just could not find that tutorial again:)
IE should open the same way as it was last closed. See if maximizing IE, and closing IE will have it open maximized.
Yes it does Shawn it was just I noticed the double square at top right and thought it unnatural. But as long as it works eh?:)
Yeah, I'm not sure why it shows the "restore down" double square like that either when it's not currently maximized.
I suppose that you could test toggling in maximized and restore may correct it. If not, then restarting the PC may.
Ok mate I'll try that in any case if it opens with that option then it causes no problems. I have had some considerable trouble with this new laptop since buying it in October last year and thanks to many who helped with fixing it in particular Bob (TVEblen) it is finally running ok:)
Hmm just tried a reboot and IE opens in the smaller screen oh well just have to keep on the max button although the email still shows up maxed??
