When you right click on the sfcdetails.txt file from OPTION THREE, are you able to click on Send to and Compressed (zipped) folder?

Ok, that was the entire CBS.log file in your ZIP file instead of what was in OPTION THREE for only the SFC details from the CBS.log. I attached a file that has only your SFC details below.

There are just to many corrupted files found in there to go over it all, but here's the basics from part of it below for how to read it.

    Code:
2013-08-25 18:51:08, Info CSI 00000160 [SR] Repairing corrupted file [ml:520{260},l:88{44}]"\??\C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer"\[l:22{11}]"IEShims.dll" from store
You can see from this line entry that the IEShims.dll file in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer folder was found to be corrupted and is being repaired with a replacement from the component store.

If SFC was unable to repair it, you would see an entry under this one saying that is was unable to repair.

    Thanks Brink,
I don't know what caused the problem.
I don't see anything that might be a problem. Yet.
    Maybe I'll find something.

    Thanks for teaching me something,

    You're welcome.

SFC repaired all the corrupted files, so you do not have to worry about any of them. :)

    corrupted windows files

    Hi,
Iv'e run sfc /scan now several times &rebooted when it asked me, with no closure. iv'e now run sfc /verify only & it comes up with,

Windows resource protection found integrity violations, details are included I the CBS.log etc.
It runs in safe mode OK but when I do a normal boot my desktop loads but as soon as I try to do anything on the taskbar, like bring up the start menu the PC freezes.

I only have access to a tablet PC to ask this question on so am unable to post a copy of the CBS.log but my main point is am I going to have to do a clean install? If I do I will lose several hundred gigs of steam games & where I live has a very bad & very expensive internet connection so would like to repair it if I can

Hello zyphodb, and welcome to Seven Forums. :)

You might see if you may be able to do a system restore at boot using a restore point (if available) dated before you had this freezing issue to see if it may help.

How does your PC run if you boot into Safe Mode?
