Hello Malanh, and welcome to Seven Forums.

So far in your log, SFC hasn't found any corrupted files.

You might run chkdsk on your C: (Windows) drive to see if that may allow SFC to finish afterwards.

If not, the you could give running the System Update Readiness Tool listed in the blue Note box under step 4 in Option Two.

Hope this helps for now, :)

    Hi Shawn,
    Thanks for replying.

I ran chkdsk and it completed with no errors.

attached is a copy of a complete cbs.log

I think it may be something to do with zeroaccess.

scans don't find anything wrong, SFC seems to be the only indication something is wrong

This all started when i was trying to update antivirus, initially windows firewall and the base filtering engine wasn't running. now im stuck on the security center service not being in the services list.

    Mathew,

Sometimes SFC may take a bit to finish.

Are you or were you infected with zeroaccess? It sounds like you are. I would recommend to do a full scan of your system to help make sure that your system is clean. Personally, when it comes to viruses and trojans, I prefer doing a clean install.

hello folks sorry its been awhile since I posted. I've been really busy and haven't had time to work on this. I've tried all those options and none of them worked, however I did find a a different tool here .NET Framework Setup Verification Tool User's Guide - Aaron Stebner's WebLog - Site Home - MSDN Blogs and made me remember I had patched my themes .dll files for new visual styles and I'm thinking that has something to do with my problems. I attached the log file after it failed trying to verify the .NET framework 2.0 SP2 install.

    Hello metalcut,

At this point, you might consider reinstalling Windows.
