SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Hi Brink,
What I did:
Use all three part your tutorials. Scan 5 times using sfc. Scan a few times verifyonly.
Did chkdsk C:.
In my Events have only Errors:
8032 (Browser),
10 (WMI),
1542 (User Profile Service),
3 (Kernel Event Tracing)
This computer is: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate, SP1, x64,
RAM 16 GB, Total Virtual memory 32 GB,
Mather ASUS, BIOS American Megatrends Inc 3029 (10/9/2012)
Drive C: Local Fixed Disk, NTFS, 119 GB
Drive F: NTFS, 205 GB
Drive G: NTFS, 261 GB
Drive H: NTFS, 466 GB

Goes to "Extract Files from Windows 7 Installation DVD"
Under D:\sources (my file CD) do not have "install.wim your size:2 860 840 523". Have "install.esd my size: 4 100 967 196"
Windows can not open "install.esd"
Under D:\sources\ I find two corrupted files describe to you before:
1)background_cli.bmp size: 2 359 350
2)spwizimg.dll size:16 202 752
Any idea please?

Ran sfc /scannow and was told not all fixed. Used the command in the tutorial to identify two unfixed files. Then downloaded and started install of System Update Readiness Tool. Was asked if I wanted to install Hotfix xxxxx. Yes, install started, green bar extends almost all the way to the end of the slot and stays there for 1/2 hour. Questions: Did the Hotfix install and it was the update readiness tool that was running?
Is the update readiness tool like the malicious software removal tool, ie doesn't "install", just starts running to completion.
Is 1/2 hour a reasonable time to run if the above is the case?
In my case I thought that the tool failed install for some reason and cancelled.
