    thanks

my windows 7 now is installed in my drive c i want to get rid of it completely and install a brand new windows 7.
    what should i do ?
do i need to format it first or delete it and then make it again?
i mean in step 8.i am new in this if you can enlighten me a little more i'd be appropriated.
    Hello Pinklotus,

Did you press a key when prompted at boot to boot from the DVD like in step 2 of the tutorial?

You could "Delete" the C: drive to have it show as a "Unallocated disk", select the unallocated disk to install to, then finish the tutorial to install a clean copy of Windows 7 on it. :)

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Pinklotus,

In your BIOS settings, double check to make sure that you have the DVD drive listed first in the boot priority order, and your Windows 7 HDD listed second. You may have to look around at each different menu in the BIOS to find this since it's different per motherboard.

    #393: Yes

#394: During the clean install you will be able to create two partitions and size them how you want.

Windows will also create a 100Mb system reserved partition to hold the boot files so just install Windows to the partition adjacent to this system reserved partition.

    thanks just one last question:

when you say i should:" install Windows to the partition adjacent to this system reserved partition"

you mean that i cant install windows in one of the partitions i have created?

    Pinklotus,

I think it may be easier to delete the disk until it's "Unallocated", select it, then install Windows 7 to it. After installation is finished, then you could just as easily create a new second partition.
