Your upgrade install saw your Win 7 Ultimate install.???

I am 98% sure that you can not install upgrade media by booting the disc. You have to install from within Vista or XP.

Hello Sega, and welcome to Seven Forums.

That is because it's the same as this Clean Install tutorial on the first page as stated at the top Upgrade Install tutorial.

You would only upgrade if you wanted to do a in-place upgrade and not lose anything from your current Vista installation. Otherwise a clean install will be to format and start clean and fresh with Windows 7 instead. :)

Hello Pronxs, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Yes, you will be able to use the same product key number to activate with it again on the same computer.

The only time that you couldn't use it again is if you were using to activate another Windows 7 on another computer while it was still activated say on your computer.
