Shut Down Windows Shortcut

    Hey, I could not seem to find a way that would shutdown and have a window like I use to do in XP Can you please help


    edit: like this but it will show the time, date etc etc

    Hello Rocstart,

    Windows 7 doesn't have one with a time and date on it. You might take a look at this to see if it may be closer for you though.

    Hi Shaun

    If I place the shortcut on my desktop it works fine with the hidden cmd window but when i add it to my object dock the cmd window re appears any ideas

    Edit- Its ok got it now when you add the shortcut to an object dock it changes the open minimised/maximised/normal settings so need to change them again

    Hello Danny,

    See if right clicking on it, then doing step 8 in OPTION TWO will get rid of the command window flash.

    Brilliant


    Brilliant, just what I needed. Very useful for shutting down when I am remoting on with RDP which doesn't let me shut down on Windows 7/8 like it does with Windows Servers...
