This is a great tutorial but this is not working for me.

    Below are the screenshot:

This is how my Date and Time Option looks.

Date Format for Taskbar System Tray - Show Full Day and Month Names-date-time-1.jpg

This is how "Short Date" looks in Example and in Date Formats.

Date Format for Taskbar System Tray - Show Full Day and Month Names-date-time-2.jpg

In Date Formats option for "Short Date" i do not have the option shown in your tutorial i.e., dddd, dd/MMMM/yyyy.

Date Format for Taskbar System Tray - Show Full Day and Month Names-date-time-3.jpgIn order to get the Day to show my System Tray I got to drag the Taskbar which I do not want to do.

    Need Help on this.

    Hello Sunimar,

When you get to step 4, you can also manually type in the date format if it's not already available to select in the drop down menu. :)

Didn't knew that, will try and will let you know. :)

Ok I tried doing that & it doesn't allow me to do so even though I'm logged in as an Admin!

It doesn't let you type in the "Short date" field after clicking in it?

    appreciate the tip

appreciate the tip on using only 3 M's or 3 d's to abbreviate the day and month. The time/date area on my Win7 was not resizing, so I was getting the dates cut off. All is well with the truncated values. Just wanted to post to say thanks.
