I download and install the specs and it messed up my laptop screen. After the welcome page all the desktop icon and everything was gone. After ı deleted the program it went back to normal itself. Although I have a partially black screen problem. It happens sometimes and it comes and goes on the screen.
    Hello Rose,

Yeah, I'm thinking it must be something else as well since this standalone exe file (specs) doesn't install anything on your computer.

What's the issue with your partially black screen problem, and when did it start to happen?

The partially black screen is when I'm online with firefox 6.01 and it started few days ago. It comes up and it goes away by itself.

Hi Rose1, I'm really sorry but the tool I developed doesn't need to be installed, nor it writes data on your PC.
It simply reads your PC infos and display them.

It's unlikely that it messed up your pc.

Anyway, can you post a print screen to show us your issue?

Since it only started doing this a few days ago, you might consider doing a system restore using a restore point dated before this started to see if it may be able to fix it.

Running sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt will make sure windows is ok.

Rose just had a misunderstanding with their relation to the issue. That's all. :)
