Windows 7: System Info - See Your System Specs

Thank you Brink for all your help and patience in my lack of computer knowledge. It has been so frustrating obtaining answers to my issues and even though I stress with each post my limited knowledge, the usual replies are difficult for me to understand. I have taken my computer to Best Buy 3 times in the last year (to the tune of $900.00 total, which is slightly less than what I paid for the computer) and have had it stripped to factory condition 3 times, but the remote control problems still reoccur. So naturally I am at my wits end and am at a loss as to what I can do to get help. I can't access any functions relating to system boot (even if I could, I wouldn't know what to do with it).

Hello Randall,

If you mean with the program, then no.

If you mean your system specs here at the site, then yes.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Nice tool - would be even nicer if there was a single button that would pre-populate all the system information instead of having to do each entry individually.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hi Bkeadle and thanks for your appreciation.
The problem of what you're asking is that there is not "direct link" between my application and SF System Spec page. I have to ask Shawn if it'll be possible with some kind of hidden POST url to populate System Specs form.

Hi 7use and welcome to Seven Forums!
I think there is a problem in retrieving motherboard data of your hardware. I'm going to add error handling in the next version, so you'll be able to use my tool.

Sorry, but it wouldn't be possible to allow anything to populate your sysem specs automatically here at Seven Forums due to security reasons. We would not allow access like that. Sorry.
