Did you follow exactly the steps in Option One of UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows for UEFI to MBR?

Are you booting the USB stick as a UEFI device?

Do you have a DVD drive to try install?

If none of these help, then please post back camera snaps of any settings in BIOS setup for UEFI, CSM, Legacy BIOS, or Boot Priority order. Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums - Windows 7 Forums

I did all of the steps, ran RUFUS and plugged in my 8Gbs flash drive, followed the screenshots and selected GPT partition scheme for UEFI computer in the drop menu and exactly followed the steps but the UEFI in the computer does not have any kind of CSM anywhere - only secure boot which I disabled. I am attaching the screen shots of the UEFI and they are numbered in the order that they are tabbed in the settings.
I do have a USB optical drive with a separate power source but it does not boot from it either.

What other SATA choices are present besides XHCI?

I see no Boot Options present so is the flash stick not plugged in? WHen plugged in does it give you an EFI Boot option for the flash stick? What Boot Override choices are offered when stick is plugged in?

Try resetting to Defaults and see if any other EFI choices show up, or how the other choices change.

Is there a newer BIOS firmware update?

If nothing else works try formatting the stick as Legacy for MBR disk, see if it shows up then under Boot Priority order, or Boot Override options.

Check also launching EFI from File System device to see if it will detect stick from its drive letter which may be different in Boot Mode but should be apparent when it lets you browse to select it in BIOS.

The flash USB was plugged in when I took these pictures and no it is not showing up in the boot devices.

Besides XHCI, it shows EHCI but still it does not come up with any boot devices after a save and a restart.

I did revert to the defaults but with the same results; nothing happened.

How do I get the firmware updates for this UEFI?

I will format to Legacy and MBR format...

    Thanks for a quick reply

Please fill in your System Specs so we can help you better. Bottom left corner of posts.

Look on the Support Downloads webpage for your model PC or mobo for BIOS update, compare to the one shown on first BIOS screen.

Did you see if the stick showed up under Launch EFI Device from File System, browsing to it in the Explorer it brings up? This may be how this BIOS shows EFI devices other than DVD.

I have updated the System Specs and I did check the Asus website for BIOS update and my UEFI is showing version 205 and there is a version 208. I have downloaded it but can't find anything on the web how to install it.
It does give a WARNING: NOT FOUND when I press Launch EFI shell from filesystem device.

The information on how to flash the BIOS is under FAQ's on the Support Downloads webpage. I suggest you read and understand it fully before proceeding as there can be no mistakes made or power loss.

I would first try formatting the stick for Legacy to MBR disk. If necessary download again Win7 Home Premium x86 SP1 English Official ISO download and try writing to stick with Windows 7 USB-DVD Download Tool. Does it then show up under Boot Option Priorities or Boot Override menus?

It is extremely odd taht there is nothing listed under Boot Priorities. WIll you please highlight it and see what the text to the right explains about this. Where is the hard drive which should be present there? Look at every single setting in the BIOS to try to find if HD is detected.

Likewise why is USB configuration not expanded so we can see those crucial settings? Highlight it to read what it says about those settings, see if there are options to choose after you connect the stick here and in Boot Priority and Overrride.

Previously, I made the ISO image using Nero 10 and then as per instructions, made the ISO image using the Windows 7 USB-DVD download tool, then formatted the USB drive first through Windows and then ran RUFUS and tried different combinations, all ending in the same result - that the USB does not show up in the bootable devices.
The hard disk is present in the system but I deleted all the partitions through the setups of Windows 7 when I was installing it through Windows 8 recovery tool. It asked me for the hard drive drivers, which I didn't have, so I restarted the system and lost everything...which I regret... attaching the USB configuration screen shots and the sub menus plus the Secure boot and its sub-menus

Use the ISO and tool I gave you above to make a new Flash stick.

Had you told us before that it prompted for drivers, then we could have told you that always mean the installer is bad.

I did make a new ISO through that tool and formatted and transferred the files to the USB, but still it does not show in the boot menu...
