Ok. I put your reg entry in but still zip didn't show up. I know where the file extentions are put in the registry. They are under hkey_classes_root.Could you give me the instructions on how to do this manually in the registry.

Could you give some more details on what problems you are having with ZIP files? This will help better determine what may have happened and how to possible fix it for you. :)

My default program for ZIP was extractnow, but somehow it got set to windows explorer. Then the .zip entry in set associations disapeared, and it was .zfsendtotarget. Then, i set the .zfsendtotarget to ExtractNow and it disappeared completly. I know where it is in registry, so could you give me instructions on how to manually edit the registry. Windows explorer does not extract very well:)

Since you are wanting Extractnow as you default program for ZIP files, you might see if clicking on Settings in Extractnow, click on Explorer tab, than select (check) zip, then click on Apply will set ZIP files to open with Extractnow. Also check the "context menu" items you wanted as well.

PDF has been added to the list. It will remove all associations for the .pdf file extension in Windows 7 since this it the default in Windows 7.

You might see if uninstalling Adobe Reader, then either reinstalling Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader may help reassociate pdf files to one of them.
