Just registered to say thank you so much, Brink; it did work for my ASUS UL20A. All the applications run again now. There is still one problem remained though: the applications' default icons are still missing, with just a blank white folder-shape image shown for every program. Please help with a tip how to restore them.

    Many thanks again.

You're most welcome Ben, and welcome to Seven Forums.

What applications have a missing icon (all or certain ones)?

If all, then you might download and merge the EXE option in this tutorial on the first page. You might also rebuild the icon cache to see if that may help. :)

Hello Lulum, and welcome to Seven Forums.

I have added bak to the list for you. It will remove all associations for bak to restore it to default after the restart. :)

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
