    Hey Brink,
I noticed you said we can give you a few more file extensions so you would make a .reg for them, and I need them.

    Here are three of them;

    IDE
    Item Definition - GTAModding
Info: You can open it up with notepad. It is GTA's.

    IPL
    Item Placement - GTAModding
Info: You can open it up with notepad. It is GTA's.

    CFG:
    File Extension .CFG Details
    Example: server.cfg
Info: You can open it up with notepad.

    Thank you, Brink!

Hello Toreno, and welcome to Seven Forums.

I would love to add these, but they are file extensions that are not supported (available) by default in Windows 7 without a default program associated to them.

    Thank you though.

    mix965,

Could you give some more details about the issue you are having with .ani files? Perhaps we may be able to help with it. :)

    Hi Shawn and or Mix965,

There is no file format for animations called .ani.

The file format for animation is .gif.

If Mix is having a problem VIEWING the animation ..
It will depend on what program they choose to view the graphic.
Windows Photo Viewer, which normally opens .gif files
DOES NOT show animation, only a static view.

I use IrfanView (it's a FREE graphic viewer) under
preferences or options you can select the file formats
you want IrfanView to open and display for you.

I have used this program for at least 6 years,
GREAT program and hard to believe it's still free.

I'm still in the process of learning Windows 7
    but
NEVER COULD find an animation VIEWER .
with VIEWER being the Keyword here.

Hope this information helps either of you.

    Jenn

    Hello Jenn,

Yep, there sure is a .ani file extension.

A .ani file is a Windows "animated cursor" file. This is different than .gif file. You can click on these links to help learn more details about the differences between them. :)
