Hello ChainGang, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Could you give more specific details about your issue?

You would only need to download and merge the file extension(s) that you are having an association issue with though.

My request was in two places, here and under icon association with file types. I followed the procedures given under the latter with no problems. (Well, few problems, after a little handholding.)

Hi, I have a really big problem regarding this.

I was having problems starting a project in visual studio, so a website said that I needed to give myself the necessary authorizations in regedit to make it work, but instead I gave myself authorizations for everything. Now, none of my files have a default program, including file directories, so I can't even use the .reg files to set default programs. What can I do?

Hello Greg, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Hopefully you will have a restore point dated before you did this available to use it to do a system restore at boot with to undo all of this. This would be the easiest way to fix this. :)

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Hello Evie, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You should be able to use the free program in the tutorial below to unassociate .package files. :)

    Hope this helps,
