When I enter the at boot to do the system restore, which option do I click? There is no option that says system restore.
Sorry if this is stupid.

What are you using to boot from?
Either a retail Windows 7 installation DVD/USB or a System Repair Disc should work nicely for this.
Thank you very much!
Photoshop in some way screwed up all my shortcuts (lnk.-files). Every shortcut became a Photoshop-shortcut.
Downloading the correct reg-values solved my problem!
Congratulations for this very useful post! I'll keep this page bookmarked for future needs.
Hey man,i've tried to modify .sav file but i've failed. And i used PDF,and now i can't use it.Can you make a reg file for sav?Sav.reg and put it for download, please? Thanks
Hello kidou, and welcome to Seven Forums.
I'm sorry, but .sav files are not a default file type that is included with the default Windows 7. It is added by another program (ex: games) instead.
You could do a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated before you modified the association for .sav files to undo and fix this though.
Hope this helps, :)

I would, but the problem is I do not know what program you originally had set to open .sav files with, or if was unassociated instead.
