Please need .indd, .psd, .ai, and .eps file extensions added

Thank you for this very helpful list.

However, I please need .indd, .psd, .ai, and .eps file extensions added since I am having issues with these file types and not being able to add them to the default programs list even when I go through the "open with", "default programs", "browse", and then select the actual program. It does not work and doesn't even add the program to the list.

.indd files need to open in my CC InDesign 2014 program, the .psd files need to open in my CC Photoshop program, and the .ai and .eps files need to open in my CC Illustrator program.

I would greatly appreciate the help and if there is any way you can possibly email me when these are added that would be awesome. Thanks so much!

Hello Gomez, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might also see if the programs are listed in Default Programs. If so, then set them to be the default programs for all of their associations to see if that may help. :)

Hello Moe, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Windows does not have an association with .MB files by default. If you like, you could do a system restore using a restore point dated before changing the association to undo it.

Hello Dila, and welcome to Seven Forums. :)

Does these file types still work and open in Office?

For now, see if setting Office as the default program with all of it's associations may be able to help.

In addition, rebuild the icon cache to see if it may if the cache may be corrupted.

If none of this helps, then you could go into "Programs and Features" to select Office to "Change" and "Repair" instead of "Uninstall". This will basically do an in-place install of Office to repair the installation and hopefully the icons with it.

As a test, use "Open with" to toggle Notepad as the default program for these files, then set it back to the Office programs to if that will make the icon show properly again.
