    Hi Brink,
I am having problems in vbs file association.
When I execute the " Merge" the file opens in notepad.
    Kindly advice a way forward.

    I use Dell E6420 with win7, 64 bit OS.

    Hello Futuristic,

The yellow TIP box under step 4 should fix this for you so that you will be able to merge the REG file afterwards. :)

Note: .tar files can be associated with Winrar or Winzip if either is installed. It would have to be enabled in either one. 7-Zip also, and it is free.

Hi, I was hoping for some advise in changing ani files back to Unknown.
I had a read through this thread but couldn't find the answer.
I noticed today on my newly setup laptop that my ani cursor files are showing as thumbnail images but on my desktop they were Animation Shop Icons. I have removed them from AS but now they are blank. In the properties box for the file it says Open With "Windows Shell Common Dll" whereas on my laptop it says Unknown Application.
I would really like to be able to see the thumbnails as on my laptop. Thanks
