Did you restart the computer after applying the Package REG file?

If so, you could also do a system restore using a restore point dated before you set it to open with a program.

Do you have an older restore point available?

this must sound so ignorant, but i don't really get what a restore point is, so how would I find out if I had an older one

So you didn't "do all that" after all.

You can click on the "System Restore" link I posted above, and it will help show you how to step by step. :)

I am trying to restore my programs to their original file extensions because they all look like itunes icons and keep opening up with itunes? How can I restore my programs to their original file extensions? Oh by the way, the .reg file I tried to download would not allow me to download it for fear of viruses being downloaded. What do I do?

Hello Techsavy, and welcome to Seven Forums.

What file types (extensions) is this for?

You may need to temporarily disable your antivirus program since it's blocking the .reg file downloads from running. Afterwards, enable it again.

Hi Brink. Short question, can you add a registry key for changing the default program for .indd files to InDesign CS6 please? Thank you in advance!
